Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are a great way to slough away old cells and reveal a fresh, healthy glow. They can be tailored to different intensity levels that require different amounts of downtime and produce more or less a dramatic result.
These peels are meticulously regimented skin treatments that address a variety of skin conditions using customized ingredients that produce beautiful results. Comfortable to experience with minimal downtime, they slough away dead, corny layers to reveal the live layers of epidermis that can receive and utilize the active ingredients from skincare.

A Chemical Peel accelerates your cell turnover rate, your skin is working from the bottom up. Therefore, it is common to experience breakouts and areas of pigmentation getting darker as everything is coming to the top layers of your skin to slough off and purge any bacteria. This can be frustrating as you start your treatments, but it is worth it as after the peeling has recovered, there is brand new, glowing, and healthy skin waiting underneath.

The results of a peel can last for 6 to 8 weeks (depending on the level of peel) at a time right from the start and can last up to 6 months after repeated treatments depending on the products you have at home. Remember consistency is key and taking time to invest in yourself is always beneficial. Your skin specialist will recommend a treatment plan specifically for your complexion, schedule and budget.

Along with regular cleansing, be sure to keep the skin moisturized and hydrated. Applying an SPF of at least 30 or higher daily and reapplying as needed is mandatory post-peel. Your skin may go through a purging phase, therefore be sure to refrain from picking or scratching at the skin as it heals. Avoid chemical and manual exfoliants after your peel along with the use of active ingredients.
